Alustatud sai selle iludusega eelmise aasta 4. aprillil. Siis sai kootud umbes 30 ringi. Vahepeal oli talveuni. Pärast vanaema kampsuni valmissaamist tuli hull turbo peale ja nii ma ta sahtlist välja kaevasin ja vardad taas sisse lõin. Et mustril on pikalt 6 kordust, oli neid suhteliselt ebamugav 4 varda peal kududa. Nii saigi esimesed kaks kordust hoopis 80 cm ringvarrastele pandud. Iga kord, kui ringvarras kätte jõudis, kudusin sellel olevad silmused sama ringvarda teise otsaga. Suur õnn saabus umbes 56ndal ringil, mil oli lõpuks nii palju silmuseid, et sai töö 80 cm ringvarrastele kududa. Umbes 100nda ringi paiku õnnistasin sihtotstarbeliselt sisse 150 cm pikkused ringvardad.
Vaat et kõige kauem aega võttis aega kolme heegelringi tegemine. Natuke muutsin antud sagedust ning tegin igas tipus kahe silmuse asemel kolmest silmusest kinnissilmuse. Niimoodi jooksid kinnissilmused kootud võrgumustriga kokku.
This beauty was cast on April 4th, 2010. Managed to knit about 30 rounds then. Then came hibernation. After finishing a sweater for my grandmother, I was attacked by extreme turbo and I dug her out of my drawer to put the stitches back on needles.
As the pattern has six repeats for quite awhile, it was quite uncomfortable to knit it on 4 needles. So I put two first repeats onto 80 cm circular needles. When the stitches on the circular needles came, I knit them with the other end of the same needles. I was really happy when, around 56th round, I could put all the stitches onto the 80 cm circular needles. After about 100 rounds, I could take my brand new 150 cm circular needles into use.
The last three crochet rounds were by far the slowest. I changed the pattern of making the single crochets. Instead of always using two stitches, I used three where the points reached the edge. This way the edging and the knit pattern looked better.

Kootud kott emale sünnipäevaks. Lõngaks Schachenmayr nomotta plus silver kollane (95% akrüüli, 5% metal polüester; 50g/133m), kulus umbes 5 tokki. Koti suurus on umbes 30 x 35 cm. Paelaks on palmikusse põimitud kootud nöör. Palmikute skeemid on võetud raamatust “Kudumise entsüklopeedia”.
Knit cabled bag for my mom as a birthday present. I used about 5 skeins of Schachenmayr nomotta plus silver yellow (95% acrylic, 5% metal polyester; 50g/133m). The bag measures about 30 x 35 cm. The strap is made of a braided i-cord. The cable patterns are from “The Knitting Encyclopedia”.

Samal päeval püüdsin pildile ka 5 päeva varem valminud tellitud lillemotiividega poncho.
Muster Drops 64-23. Lõngaks 11 tokki Cervinia Nordic nr 2206; (100% pesukindlat villa, 50g/125m).
Vardad 4,5 mm.
The same day I caught 5 days old ordered poncho onto a picture. Pattern from Drops 64-23.
I used 11 skeins of Cervinia Nordic nr 2206; (100% superwash wool, 50g/125m) and 4,5 mm needles.

Kooli alguses jõudsin järeldusele, et normaalset märkmikku poes ei müüda ja nii ei jäänudki muud üle, kui ise teha.
Märkmikul on nädalaid 1,5 aasta jagu. Kaaned on kahekordsest käsitööpapist, taga on pastakahoidja. Kaaned on kaetud musta riidega, millel on tikitud kelti kass.
As school starter, I realised that shops don’t sell normal calendars. So I had to make ome myself.
The calendar has weeks to last 1,5 years. The covers are made of 2-ply cardboard, there is a holder for a pen on the back cover. The covers are coated with black cloth and there is a Celtic cat x-stitched onto it.

Tegin omale lõpuks paksu ja sooja mütsi.
Lõngaks Drops Polaris, mustriks Drops 116-21. Tegin tuti ka ja sellega koos kulus 3 tokki, aga see tutt ei sobinud mulle ja nii ta oma aega kapi nurgas ootabki. Vardad 10mm.
I finally made myself a really thick and warm hat.
Used Drops Polaris as yarn, Drops 116-21 as a guide and 10 mm needles. Made the pompom too and with that it took 3 skeins. But the pompom didn’t suit me and so it waits it’s time in the corner of my cabin.

Üks selle aasta suurimaid projekte – Nimbus nimeline jakk. Alustamisest lõpetamiseni läks aega pea aasta, kuigi reaalselt kudumisele kulus vast paar kuud. Venimise põhjuseks oli silmuste ümberarvutamine ja seetõttu vähemalt 2x harutatud raglaaniosa. Lõpuks olen ülirahul.

One of the largest projects of this year was Nimbus jacket. From starting to finishing it took almost a year. Though knitting took maybe only a couple of months. It lingered mainly due to recalculations and therefore at least twice unravelled raglan part. But in the end I’m really satisfied.

Yarn: 1 thread of each – BBB filati Soft Dream no 2 (70% kid mohair, 30% silk; 25g/210m) and G-B Wolle Sprint no 268 (75% wool, 25% acrylic; 50g/210m). Used 1 and 2 skeins respectively.
Needles: 4,5 mm
Boolero pulmadeks/Posh wedding shrug
Täiesti ootamatult sain Pereklubis priva, kus sooviti minult pulmadeks boolerot.
Selle pelleriini tellija oli mind soovitanud 
Tuli teha turbokudumist, sest aega oli vaid nädalake. Lõngaks sai Lianni lõngapoest valitud G-B Sprint nr 268 (75% villa, 25% akrüüli; 50g/210m) ja B.B.B. Soft Dream nr 2 (70% kid mohääri, 25% siidi; 25g/210m). Lõngakulu kokkukootuna vastavalt 128g ja 60g. Vardad 4,5mm. Muster on Ravery’st selle mustri pikkade varrukatega versioon.
Tühja nendest magamata öödest ja kangetest kätest – pruut näeb välja imekena ja oli booleroga ülirahul. Allesjäänud lõngast tuleb umbes selline beebikleit (musta asemel veinipunane)

I was really surprised to get this order to make a shrug for a wedding within a week. Made some serious turbo-knitting and finished on time.
I used 2 different yarns held together and 4,5mm needles: G-B Sprint no 268 (75% woll, 25% acrylic; 50g/210m) and B.B.B. Soft Dream no 2 (70% kid mohair, 25% silk; 25g/210m). Used 128g of thicker yarn and 60g of the other.
I modified this pattern from Ravelry and made the shrug with long sleeves.
No matter the unslept nights and numb hands – the bride looks fabulous and was really satisfied with the shrug. The leftover yarn will become something like this (maroon instead of black)
