Mütssall/hatscarf

Ilmad on jahedamaks läinud ja vaja oli uut mütsi. Sai otsustatud sellise multifunktsionaalse asjanduse kasuks, mida saab nii mütsi, kui ka sallina kasutada. Mütsina on see piisav praegu, sallina vast kõige parem suusatades/uisutades, sest pole liiga paks, aga samas ei kao kaelast ära. Et asi liiga lörts ei jääks, kudusin kahekordsest lõngast. Kudumise algusesse tegin augurea ja edasi kudusin, kuni lõnga jätkus. Vahepeal heegeldasin teisest otsast paela ka.
Et asi on kootud triibulisest lõngast, siis sobib see hästi Isetegija TK: Treeme Triipu projekti.

Weather is getting cooler and I needed a new hat. I decided for this multifunctional thingy, which can be used as a hat or a scarf. The hat is good now, but the scarf would probably be best while skiing/scating. It’s not too thick but won’t escape from around the neck. To make the thingy a bit sturdier, I knit 2 threads together. I made an eyelet round to the beginning and then continued, until the yarn ended. At some point before the end, I used the other ends of the skeins to crochet the thread.

Eriline kingitus/A special gift

Eriliste inimeste erilised sündmused nõuavad hingega tehtud, erilist kingitust.
Kui kuulsin, et hea sõbranna abiellub, siis tuli muuseas välja mõelda ka see, mida kinkida. Midagi sellist, millest ka pikemaks ajaks pruutpaarile rõõmu jaguks. No ja muidugi pdi asi olema ise tehtud. Muudmoodi kingitusi ma ei oskagi enam teha. Ega ei tahagi. See emotsioon, mille sa omatehtud kingitusse paned, on kirjeldamatu. Seda kogevad vaid need, kes ise kingitusi teevad. Ja need, kes neid kingitusi saavad.
Kingituseks sai lõpuks fotoalbum pulmapiltide jaoks. Kaanel tikitud sõrmused.
Palju ilusaid aastaid teile, kallid Liis ja Ville!

Special events in the lives of special people require a special gift.
When I heard that a good friend was getting married, then I had to figure out, what to give her as a present. Something, they will have joy of, for years to come. And ofcource, it had to be handmade. That’s the only kind of presents I can do. And the only kind, I want to. The emotion, you put into handmade presents, is undescribable. Only peaople, who make them, know that. And the oned that receve them.
The present ended up being a photo album for wedding pictures with x-stitch rings on the cover.

Tehnilist juttu ka:
Albumi sisuks on 4 10-lehelist joonistusblokki. Kaanteks kartong. Katteriideks läikiv valge kangas (ma olen väga halb kanga materjali tuvastamises). Pilt on internetist leitud ja tikkimisprogrammiga mustriks tehtud. Kasutatud on 30 värvi. Muster on tikitud algselt harutatava kanvaa abil, mis siis hiljem küljest harutatud. Sisu on kaante külge äärmiste lehtede abil kleebitud, sest antud kangale ei tundunud sobivat nööriga köitmine.

Some technical talk too:
The album consists of 4 10-page drawingpaper sets. The covers are made of carton. The cloth on the cover is some white shiny one (I’m really bad with textile materials). The picture was found in the internet and then converted into a pattern with a cross-stitch software. I used 30 different colors. The pattern was embroidered with the help of a canvas, that was later unravelled. The inside is glued to the covers as the cover material didn’t want to be bound with thread.

Pudelikott/Bottlebag

Ma kohe üldse ei salli, kui viimasel sekundil sünnipäevale kutsutakse ja siis mingi kingituse välja peab võluma. Eriti, kui finantsi eriliselt pole. Sedapuhku lõpes asi šampusepudelile koti heegeldamisega. Asjaks seegi, eksole. Aga ega paremaid mõtteis ei tule ka, kui sul on 4 tundi aega…ja pudelitki käepärast pole, et mõõte kontrollida. Et asi pidulikum välja näeks, põimisin aukudest läbi paela ja sidusin lehviks.

I really hate, when I get invited to a birthday at the very last minute and then I have to come up with a present. Especially with very limited finances. This time it ended with crocheting a bag for a chanpange bottle. Does the trick, right? But you don’t get really any better ideas, if you have only about 4 hours…and no bottle to check measurements. To make it look a little more festive, I thread a ribbon through the holes and tied it to a bow.
