Lõngaks Schachenmayr nomotta Micro Bamboo (50g/145m; 50% mikrofiiber, 50% bambus), kulus 131g / 380m, vardad 3,5mm soonikuks ja 5,0mm mustriosaks.

A dropped stitch bright top for myself.
I used 131g / 380m of Schachenmayr nomotta Micro Bamboo (50g/145m; 50% microfiber, 50% bamboo) on 5mm needles for the main part and 3,5mm for the ribbing.
See top pidi algselt mulle endale jääma, kuid valmides selgus, et minu vahepeal mitu cm suurenenud büst sikutas pluusi liiga lühikeseks ja ümber ma seda ka teha enam ei viitsinud. Nii juhtuski see, et topi sai hoopis sünnipäevakingitusena omale mu kallis õeraas, kelle lemmiktopiks see sujuvalt saanud on.
Lõng: hallikasbeež Dropsi Muskat (nr 61), mida kuulus 4,61 x 50g = 230,5g / 461m.
Vardad: 3,5 mm
Pildiks on mul kahjuks lisada ainult makrovõtted, aga ehk õnnestub kunagi õde ka koos pluusiga pildile püüda.

This top was originally planned for myself, but as my recently increased bust pulled it too short and I was really not keen on reknitting it, it ended up as a birthday present for my dearest little sister. It has now become her favourite top 🙂
I used 230,5g of Drops Muskat no 61 with 3,5 mm needles.
I only have macrophotos to show but hopefully I’ll eventually manage to capturea a shot of my sister with the top aswell.
Saaremaal olles tutvusin Ameerikas elava väliseestlannaga ja tema kahe toreda lapsega 🙂 Tema soovil kudusin mõlemale lapsele mütsi – tüdrukule maasika ja poisile Eesti lipu värvides. Sini-must-valgeid mütse sai ebatäpse mõõtmise tõttu lausa kaks, sest ma ei raatsinud seda liiga suurt varianti üles harutada. Õnneliku juhuse läbi oli tellijale mütse kätte andes autos ka üks ameeriklane, kes selle mütsi minult rõõmuga ära ostis.
Lõngaks maasikamütsil punane Katia Espiga nr 4, mida kulus 30g / 72,4m, lisaks mingi tundmatu roheline leheks.
Triibulise mütsi lõngadeks on Steinbach Wolle Capri sinine, must ja valge, mida kulus kahe mütsi peale kokku 65g / 162,5m.
Vardad kõikidel mütsidel 2,5 mm.

While in Saaremaa, I met a young woman and her two small children, who live in the US. She asked me to knit her children hats and we chose a strawberry for the girl and the boy got a striped hat in the colours of the Estonian flag. I ended up knitting the striped one twice as the first one came too big. I didn’t want to unravel it and when I went to give her the hats, another American was sitting in the car and he gladly bought the extra hat 🙂
I used 30g / 72,4m of Katia Espiga for the strawberry hat and 65g / 162,5m of blue, white and black Steinbach Wolle Capri for the striped ones.
The needles were 2,5 mm in all hats.
Minu esimene kokkupuude Dropsi Cotton Light nimelise lõngaga toimus seda kududes ja lõppes lootusetu armumisega – nii mõnusalt pehme lõng ja kuskilt otsast pole tunda, et lausa pool on sünteetikat. Ja siiani on lõng ka kenasti vormi hoidnud ja pole kuskilt koledaks kulunud.
See pluusike sai kaasa võetud Saaremaal veedetud jaanipäeva ajaks ja et saaks ka sinna sõitmisele kuluvad x tundi ära kasutada, tarbisin enne sõitu ka eeskujuliku koguse ingveritablette. Kuskil poole tee peal läksid maha ka minu taga istunud inimesed ja ma sain sinna laiutama ja põlvedele soodsamat asendit otsima kolida 🙂 kohale jõudes oli umbes 1/3 pluusi juba valmis ja ka ülejäänu kudumiseks ei kulunud just eriti palju aega. Rahvas vahtis suu ammuli ja aina imestas 😀

My very first experience with Drops Cotton Light was while knitting this and it ended with falling head over heels in love – the yarn is just so soft and you would never guess it was half acrylic. And it has retained its shape very well and you can see absolutely no pills or anything.
I took this blouse with me to knit while on vacation in Saaremaa. In order to be able to use the hours travelling there to knit, I ended up consuming a considerable amount of ginger pills (I get car sick really easily) and by the time I arrived, I had 1/3 ready. It didn’t take too long to complete the rest aswell. People arount me looked very surprised 😀

2011 aprillis sai alustatud selle pluusiga. Vägagi kiiresti sai valmis kehaosa ja kapuuts, aga siis lahkus minust Tuju ning pluus istus terve aasta kapis ja ootas varrukaid. Nüüd siis saabus koju tagasi Tuju koos 5 mm lühikeste ringvarrastega ja pluus sai varrukad umbes 2 päevaga 😀 Heegeldatud serva tegemine ei vajanud just erilist punnitamist, kuigi kapuutsi serva tegin eelnevalt ümber. Kapuuts on küll pigem disainielemendiks, sest pähe pannes näen ma välja nagu suur titt 😀
Strateegilistest numbritest niipalju, et alumine osa on kootud M suuruse, rinnaalune osa S suuruse ja rinnaosast ülevale L suuruse järgi. Ebastandardne jänes, nagu ma olen 😀
Lõngaks kasutasin Dropsi Parist (100% puuvilla; 50g/75m) nr 30 (sinine), mida kulus 13 x 50g = 650g / 975m ja nr 17 (naturaalvalge), mida kulus 0,5 x 50g = 25g / 37,5m.
Varrasteks 5 mm ja 3,5 mm (rinnaalune rips), serva pitsi jaoks 5 mm konks.

In April 2011, I started with this jumper. The body and hood were ready really quickly, but then my Mood abondaned me and the jumper lay on the shelf for a whole year and waited for the sleeves. Now my Mood finally returned with 5 mm short circular needles and the sleeves were ready within 2 days or so. The crochet edge came easily also, though I reknit the edging of the hood to make it more neat. The hood is actually more of a design element as I look like a big baby, if I dare to wear it 😀
If to speak of sizes, the jumper is a real mix: the bottom part is in size M, the garter stitch part umder the chest is size S nad the top part in size L.
I used 13 x 50g = 650g of blue (no 30) and 25g of off-white (no 17) Drops Paris (100% cotton; 50g/75m).
The needles were 5 mm and 3,5 mm (for the garter stitch part under the chest) and the crochet hook was 5 mm also.
Esimene õlasall mu täielikust lemmik pitsilõngast Twinist. Kulus ainult 56g varrastega 3,5 mm. Sall on mõõtudega umbes 150 x 70 cm.

The first shawl using my absolutely favourite lace yarn Twin. I only used 56g of yarn and 3,5 mm needles.. The shawl measures about 150 x 70 cm.

Lõngaks Lane Cervinia Cortina (50% villa, 50% akrüüli). Varras 3,5 mm. Lõnga kulus 365g.

I used 365g of Lane Cervinia Cortina (50% wool, 50% akrylic) and 3,5mm needles.
Ei mingit pikka juttu.
Lõngaks Hjertegarn Cotton Silk (70% puuvilla, 30% siidi). varras 4,5 mm. Lõngakulu 450g. Vöö on keerutatud teisest lõngast. Eeskujuks oli see. Muutsin üsna paljugi. Kootud on palju jämedamast lõngast, ühes tükis ja ülevalt alla. Ülemise sooniku asemel tegin pärlkoe ja alumine paneel on kõvasti kitsam.
I used 450g of Hjertegarn Cotton Silk (70% cotton, 30% silk) and 4,5 mm needles. The belt is of another yarn. I used this as a guide and changed quite a bit. I used a lot thicker yarn, knit in one piece and from top down. I replaced the top ribbing with moss stitch and the lower panel is a lot narrower.
Tuunika, millest sai hoopis kleit.
